The Bennetts have started collaborating with another winged being who lives in the vicinity of Bittersweet Farm. While these specific birds “don’t have a great reputation,” the Bennetts have established a working relationship/friendship with a family of ravens. The deal is simple. Cat leaves out the surplus chicken eggs, and the ravens swoop down to retrieve them.
The end result: no eggs go to waste, and everyone is happy!
Throughout this exchange, Cat has gotten to know the three raven parents personally. Three parents? Yes, recently some birds have adopted this communal form of child rearing.
